Global address list is not updating

This morning I was asked to update the Global Address List and Offline Address Book in an Exchange environment. You could wait for Exchange to do it automatically (the default schedule is once a day) but what when you want to force the update to take place right now? The Microsoft Exchange default is for this to update at 5 AM each morning. In addition, if you are using Microsoft Outlook 2010 in cached mode it may be storing an out-of-date copy of the GAL. Murray has been working in IT for over 15 years specializing in the Messaging Arena and in particular IBM Domino and Microsoft Exchange and now of course Office 365.Working with like minded colleagues now specializing in very large scale complex migrations from Lotus Notes and On-Premise Microsoft Exchange to Office 365.1) Try a manual Re-Sync 2) Close Outlook and delete the *.OAB files manually From here: C:\Users\%username%\App Data\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Offline Address Books\*\*.* 3) Delete and Recreate their Outlook Profile Start Outlook again and follow Prompts A: There are five ways.

Therefore, different people will receive updates at different, random times.

Exchange -Connection Uri -Credential $User Credential -Authentication Basic -Allow Redirection Import-PSSession $Session Provide your username and password Now run: Get-Address List If you get the following error means that the rights haven’t being propagated yet and you need to wait a couple of minutes more.

Please close Power Shell try back a couple of minutes later.

The GAL appears to be complete otherwise, but newly-created users do not appear. During the logging I performed a manual update of the Black Berry Manager profile's Address Book.

Outlook clients on other machines do have a complete GAL including all newly-created users.
